ARBITRATION AND SPECIAL MASTER SERVICES
Unlike litigation, which involves the public courthouse and the judicial process, arbitration is a private, confidential procedure for the resolution of disputes by one or more private arbitrators who receive evidence and issue rulings on the issues in dispute.
A special master is different from an arbitrator. A special master is appointed and authorized by a court to make a report and recommendation on issues referred to him or her, or to ensure that the court’s orders are actually followed.
Anne Shuttee has extensive experience with both litigation and arbitration of business disputes, especially in the context of information technology service agreements and partnership agreements. She can quickly identify and analyze key issues and assess the strength of factual and legal arguments.
As an arbitrator or special master, Anne will work with the parties to narrow the issues necessary for evidentiary hearing in order to decide the case or otherwise discharge her duties efficiently and cost-effectively.
